Rescue

Founded in 2024, Pugmark Wildlife's rescue team is a dedicated group of volunteers based in Wayanad, Kerala. We specialize in the rescue and rehabilitation of the state's native wildlife. Operating almost 365 days a year, we are the first responders for sick, injured, displaced, or orphaned animals, primarily in Wayanad.  Our reach extends throughout Kerala whenever possible through our network of affiliated rescuers.
Every rescue is conducted with the necessary permits from the Forest Department and landowner or relevant authority.  Our team's expertise ensures the animals receive proper care and rehabilitation within our dedicated facilities.  Ultimately, our mission is to release these animals back into their natural habitat, following the established guidelines set forth by the Kerala Forest Department.
Beyond rescue efforts, Pugmark Wildlife is committed to public education. We offer educational programs and training sessions on wildlife rescue, fostering a sense of awareness and responsibility for Kerala's precious wildlife. Together, through rescue, rehabilitation, education, and collaboration, we can ensure a brighter future for the animals that call Kerala home.
